Stop ugly gossip by changing the subject.
Remedy Revenge
Ending toxic words
At a district meeting of county managers, a presenter talked about a recent health seminar. The presenter explained the seminar. The district manager talked about the positive feedback from the seminar.
One county manager loudly declared that people with the health problem “got what they deserved.” The flabbergasted district manager continued talking about the positive feedback. The ugly gossiping county manager kept on blaming the people with the health problem.
Finally, another county manager brought his hand down hard on the table and said in a firm voice, “Subject!” Other county managers followed his example. The district manager did what they demanded and changed the subject.
