Listen for people to connect
and attract career catalysts to you.
After you’ve made several networking connections for yourself, make catalyst connections between people in your various networks. Catalyst connections benefit both people. You could find yourself with a new career catalyst or two or three. Marie Forleo made catalyst connections between people she knew and received invitations that benefited her career.
Her unexpected career catalysts include Oprah Winfrey, Anthony Robbins, Richard Branson, and the woman Branson introduced to Forleo for the benefit of Forleo’s career. Marie Forleo demonstrates my definition of spectacular success:

Creating success for others is the best way to create success for yourself. Use your gossip ears to make the best connections for yourself, then use those connections to create success for others. The catalyst connections you create for others will give other people reasons to create catalyst connections for you.
